Partner of LexStep Avocats, Ingrid Van Elslande has built up a solid experience in the field of public law and the defense of local authorities.

For more than 10 years, Ingrid was legal director and then chief of staff of municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants. This key function, more political, allowed her to develop an openness to citizens, public policy and the relationship with elected officials. In 2004, she joined the Senate as a parliamentary assistant to Hugues Portelli for ten years. In 2014, she was sworn in and partnered with him to start a law firm.

Ingrid joined LexStep Avocats as a partner in 2019. She still advises and defends local governments. Surrounded by 2 lawyers, her mission is to answer in all simplicity all the questions that a mayor or a president of an intermunicipal authority may be confronted with daily.

Her areas of expertise cover the entire spectrum of law of local authorities, including urbanism law, civil service law, administrative liability law, etc. She intervenes before all jurisdictions to defend public interests, for all types of proceedings (full litigation, appeal in excess of power, expertise, summary proceedings).
